Our Staff

We're proud of the close family relationship we have with our staff. Everyone here works closely together as a team. Our doctors are TOP-NOTCH and care for your pets as part of our family. Go to each page for Dr. Anthony Holcomb and Dr. Justin Novak to learn more about them but we couldn't do it without the teamwork of the staff!

We hold monthly staff training meetings besides the daily training in the clinic and each one goes to seminars and is taking the Texas Veterinary Medical Association's test for Certified Veterinary Assistant (*CVA).

Chris Holcomb

Chris is the wife of Dr. Anthony, aka 'Mrs. Dr. Holcomb'. She and Anthony have been married since July 12, 1986. They have been together through thick and thin, including undergraduate studies and Veterinary School. They have 2 children..Ashley, who is graduating May 2008 from Texas A&M with a math degree and Amy is in Junior High and has learned to be a big help in the clinic - surgery is her favorite. Many clients have watched these girls grow up in the clinic over the last 15 years. Some will remember holding Amy at the old clinic as a tiny baby. Chris says that, "Anthony runs the medicine side and I run the business side". She keeps it all running together smooth as the "air traffic controller".

Charlene Wood, *CVA

Charlene "Char" Wood has been in the Veterinary business for about 30 years. Her experience is tremendous and she is a huge asset to the clinic. Char is our Business/Office Manager. She wears many coats, donig everything from front office duties, to senior technician. There's not an area of the clinic that Char isn't a master at. In 2004 she aquired an Associates degree Radiology. The biggest thing in her life are her children Nick, Kate and Jessica, as well as her grandchildren, Ryan ( 1 ) and Kashaylan ( 4 ). Everyone loves working with Char and has since 02-17-1997.

Leigh Ann Davis, *CVA

Leigh Ann graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2004 with a BS, majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Agronimy. Leigh Ann is our Staff Administrator's Assistant, helping to create new programs for the clinic, assisting in planning staff meetings, including planning hands-on staff training. Leigh Ann's anniversary date is: 07-17-00.

Jessica Hill, *CVA

Jessica started out as a volunteer at the clinic. She quickly grasped the technician job and after graduated from Rusk High School, she became a full-time Veterinary Technician. The love of Jessica's life are her 2 sons. Jessica loves surgery and can wrap surgery packs tighter than anyone on the planet! Jessica also is one of our groomers.

Kathy Diviney, *CVA

Kathy came to us from a Tyler clinic, wanting to be closer to home. She already had many years experience under her belt and we scooped her up quick. She has been a real asset to our clinic. Kathy quickly makes friends with everyone and jumps in, never hesitating to lend a hand. We're very proud of Kathy, she's had quite a lot to deal with her health, and never gives up. Kathy's anniversary date is: 2-20-02.

Megan Morris, *CVA

Megan began fresh in Veterinary profession when she joined us. She has soft places in her heart for Justus & Colton, her sons; and Buck, her favorite riding horse. Megan picked up Veterinary medicine just like she had always done it. She thrives on learning new things and knowing what the Doctors will need before they ask for it. Megan's anniversary date is: 8-18-03.
